Calgary Talisman YRE renovations

The Talisman is undergoing renovations, while these are underway there will be a change in the YRE walk box location.
To get to the temporary service desk, park your car as close to the North end of the parking lot as possible, then take the pathway LEFT, and follow beside the river a short distance to the SECOND entrance (# 2010 above the door). Inside, the service desk will be right in front of you. Please ask for the walk box there.

Group Year Rounds

Volkssport Club of Medicine Hat holds group Year Round walks - Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00 pm start, Saturday morning 9 am start. Please contact Edna McKelvie at 403-526-3153 or Sharon Petrick 403-526-7407 for details and where walk will be starting from.

Walk Alberta Program



The Walks Alberta booklet is free to all, and is designed to support the Volkssport Association of Alberta (VAA) program for walking with Alberta's Volkssport Clubs throughout the Province.

As you do a walk in each of the cities or towns designated, place the applicable IVV stamp in the appropriate location within the booklet.

NOTE: 2010 locations required: Banff, Barrhead, Beaumont, Calgary, Camrose, Canmore, Cardston, Cold Lake, Devon, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Fox Creek, Frank, Grande Cache, Grande Prairie, Hinton, Jasper, Leduc, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Millet, Morinville, Red Deer, Sherwood Park, St Albert, Stony Plain, Sylvan Lake, Waterton, Wetaskiwin & William Switzer Park

There is no time limit to completion.
There is no extra cost/fees to enroll in this program, other than the normal event fees per walk.

Contact your Alberta Club President for a free booklet or contact the VAA (by email or Canada Post), and one shall be mailed to you.

River & Ravine Program

This annual program is sponsored by the Volkssport Association of Alberta in the Edmonton area.
The program has been completed for 2009 if you have 8 or more stamps from this program please send your booklet in for redemption. See back of booklet for address.
The 2010 program will commence on the 18th of May with the walk in Devon.
